In June, Bridgewater Marina hosted a community event to celebrate more than $100,00 donated to Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia through our “Feed the Fish for Make-A-Wish" fundraiser.

Exciting news! We've topped the $100,000 mark in donations to Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia and will celebrate with an event for the SML community on June 2, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

What started as a modest fundraiser five years ago has become a true success story thanks to the Smith Mountain Lake community. And the absolute best part is the number of children in Virginia with critical illnesses who have been touched by their amazing support. We wanted to express our thanks by planning something fun for families.

For the second time in four years, I’m excited to announce that Bridgewater Marina was honored with the area’s top award for Tourism and Hospitality by the Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce.

I happily accepted the award, which is voted on by the Chamber membership, at the organization’s annual dinner in March at Bernard’s Landing.
